Public Meeting – Sunday 13 August 2017

Flinders Community Association has been actively involved on your behalf, monitoring permit applications, planning scheme changes and making submissions to Council and Government.

The proposed plans to change the Victorian Planning Controls are not seen as desirable by MPS and many, many residents of the Peninsula. Amongst other things you may find a double garage or something similar built on your boundary with no yellow Planning notice and no ability to object. The Green Wedge may be filled up with low cost temporary housing such as caravan parks and the Peninsula as you know it irreparably damaged.

Vic Smart is not thought of as very Smart for Flinders – see the attached summary of recent changes to the Victorian planning system.

Come along to this especially convened meeting and offer your ideas and suggestions as to what direction you would like Flinders to take in future.

The outcome will be a submission to the Minister for Planning, and to Mornington Peninsula Shire to assist them in representing our wishes to Government and to planning agencies.

The whole community is invited, not just members, so encourage your friends to attend too.
