Flinders Arts Group

FLINDERS ARTS GROUP was incorporated in 2013 to provide an opportunity for the residents of Flinders and the surrounding areas to initiate and participate in, Arts related activities. Not only are Flinders residents interested in attending art, music, film and theatre and literary events, we also have artisans, actors, writers and musicians in our midst. We would like to bring them all together.

The Arts Group is a member of Regional Arts Victoria and commonly referred to as FLAG or the Flinders Arts Group.

Since the COVID interruption, we have reactivated:

Our Film group, which meets on the first Thursday of the month at the local Bowls Club, with a simple supper of bread and soup, a choc top at half time, and shows and discusses films of critical merit.

We have yet to reactivate:

The Play reading group which met bi monthly for reading and understanding and in the past has successfully performed a play drawing on local talent.

The Discussion group which met bi monthly. This was not a debating group but a group devoted to understanding current affairs and writings of a social, philosophical and psychological nature and would focus on a current or topical issue.

Bringing performances from Regional Arts Victoria to our beautiful new hall for the enjoyment of the community
