Flinders Bowls Club was established in 1983 and welcomes new members and visitors. Call 5989 0583 for information about joining and access for casual use.
A small, friendly club is located within the golf course grounds, it is accessed via the Golf club gates on Bass Street, then follow the road around towards the bay . The clubhouse is surrounded by gardens and provides a well equipped kitchen, a licensed bar, a sundeck with shade umbrellas and an undercover barbecue.
The bent grass green was completely renewed in 2019 and is kept in excellent condition. Full members can compete in pennant bowls across the Mornington Peninsula and new memberships are available now. All members and visitors are welcome to participate in intra-club competitions at Flinders, with green fees payable dependent on the competition. Bowls are made available, and coaching is offered to new bowlers. Flat soled shoes or bare feet please. Junior memberships are also available for those aged under 18 years.
There are 2 major community bowling championships held annually, being the R T Edgar and Bendigo Bank Cups, and all community members of any standard are welcome to make and enter teams to these competitions.
