COMMUNITY ELECTION FORUM
10th November 6.30pm
Following the launch of the Shire’s Shout Out advocacy campaign at the start of September, we are inviting all Mornington electorate candidates to join a panel and share their priorities and vision for the electorate.
The forums are open to the community and give you the opportunity to submit questions on local issues that are important to you.
The Mayor will chair the forum and ask the panel a series of questions received from the community.
You have the option of joining the event via livestream or in person and are asked to pre-submit questions for the panel when you register online to attend the event.
Anthony Marsh – Mayor, Mornington Peninsula Shire – Chair
Esther Gleixner – Greens candidate
Chris Brayne – Labor candidate (Member for Nepean)
Charelle Ainslie – Independent candidate
Sam Groth – Liberal candidate
Elizabeth Woolcock – Independent candidate
All attendees have the opportunity to submit a question when registering.
Your question will be asked by the Chair if time allows.
We will use your questions to guide the Chair and ensure they ask panel members about important community topics of interest.
Please note only pre-submitted questions can be asked by the Chair at the event. Questions cannot be taken from the audience on the night due to time constraints.
To enable additional questions from the community, we have asked that candidates are available to speak with you informally immediately after the formal event ends.
At Council, we have a unique insight into the needs and priorities of our people – and a responsibility to do what we can to achieve those community priorities.
In the lead-up to the Victorian election, we are advocating to the local candidates and relevant government departments on the issues and projects you have told us matter the most to you.
We rely on residents, community groups and businesses to add their voices to ours to ensure our message cuts through.
Join us in shouting out for the Peninsula.
