Professor Oberklaid’s presentation will consider the reasons for the increase in mental health problems over recent years, amplified from the COVID pandemic, and suggest that a strategy based on prevention and early intervention is far more effective and cost effective than attempting to treat entrenched problems later in the life cycle.
