Health and Savings: Benefits of electrifying your home

By switching your appliances from gas to electricity, you can save money on your household bills, improve your family’s comfort, protect them from gas health impacts, and take action to help stop climate change.

Hear from Dr Genevieve Cowie (Convenor of Doctors for the environment Australia) and Tim Forcey (Home comfort and energy adviser). Dr Cowie will speak about the health impacts of gas in the home. Tim will speak about the benefits of insulation and draft proofing your home and the benefits of home electrification. He has provided advice to over 1,000 Melbourne homes about how to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy bills by switching to electrical appliances. Tim’s expertise is widely sought and accessed by individuals, community groups, businesses, government bodies, members of Parliament and media.
