General Purposes Local Law 2012 (Local Law) requires property owners  to mark their properties with an easy to see house number.

Street numbers are important for property identification purposes, particularly for Police, CFA, Ambulance and SES to locate and access a property in an emergency. And of course it’s important  for visitors or delivery drivers who have not been to your house before. Whilst the numbering of properties is required by the Local Law, council rely on voluntary compliance of owners/occupiers.
