We are continuing to ask questions of the council to ensure clarity for the community on a various issues. Last night we submitted the following questions and are awaiting responses.
NEW FLINDERS SHIRE HALL HIRE – On behalf of FCA & local groups planning large community events in Flinders in 2024.When can we have booking dates & costing surety to hire the Flinders Civic Hall. Budgeting is impossible without costing clarity. Booking entertainment, catering & additional AV plus accommodation bookings are impossible without certainty of dates or costs .
VISITOR PAID PARKING PILOT – Council advised it will consult during the Parking Pilot but doesn’t explain lack of consultation BEFORE the decision was made. Why has it taking so long to answer questions submitted by many online BEFORE the pilot is implemented. The Pilot will not resolve parking problems across the Peninsula. We urge Council to reconsider and cancel the pilot at Flinders.
