A great beach clean up organized by the wonderful team from Sea Shepherd who support our campaign to SAVE FLINDERS PIER. So grateful to those who collected and then to the sorters who weighed and counted very carefully, all the rubbish that was collected. Stars of the cleanup were the boys from Solo Resource Recovery who loaded and scrunched so much of the big items and bags if rubbish into their truck. Tires, rope, bottles, sooooo much plastic, half a fibreglass tinny and so much more. Our thanks to our SFP committee and also to the team from the Flinders Icebergers who sold recycled squid jigs (earrings and keyrings) and gave proceeds to the Save Flinders Pier campaign. Volunteers received a bumper sticker and some had cake !!
