On Sunday 2 August at 2.00pm the Peninsula Chamber Musicians Strings welcome back Anne Harvey-Nagl for Haydn’s The Bird and Dvorak’s American string quartets. Anne is Concertmaster at the Volksoper Vienna. Anne led the quartet last year with a definitive performance of Schubert’s Death and the Maiden. We are glad she can join us on her summer break, escaping the present heatwave in Europe.

On Sunday 11 October at 2.00pm Dutch saxophonist Niels Bijt joins harpsichordist and organist Peter Hagen for a fascinating program of Italian Baroque Masterpieces. The saxophone in this context brings the haunting tones of a baroque cornetto to the performance, enhanced further by the sensitive acoustic of St John’s.

On Sunday 13 December at 2.00pm French soprano Myrium Arbouz will join the Genesis Baroque ensemble in Cantatas for Christmas. Myrium is a leading exponent in Europe of the baroque soprano repertoire. She thrilled the Peninsula Summer Music Festival audience in Flinders last January and it is a privilege that she is returning with this festive and virtuosic program.
