The St Johns Fete has been a tradition in Flinders for over 80 years with the first fete opened by the Lord Mayor of Melbourne Sir Arthur Coles in 1939. We continue this wonderful tradition with the generous support of so many who have so kindly sponsored or donated to assist us with our fundraising.
As COVID restrictions may be still in place in January we have had to cancel our traditional fete and go DIGITAL!
Funds raised for our unique online fete will go not only towards St John’s, but to other local charities which we have supported for many years: Anglicare Rosebud – supporting the homelessness on the Peninsula, Brotherhood of St. Laurence, Asylum Seekers Resource Centre Dandenong, Western Port Community Support caring for marginalised and disadvantaged residents of Hastings and surround areas.
People will be able to order in advance all the homemade goodies and crafts you are so familiar with, plus enjoy the fun of and amazing FINE ARTS, NEW products, NEW competitions and the famous FLINDERS PET SHOW.
The Flinders Community Association has agreed to sponsor the cost of printing promotional material for the Fete.
