There are new happenings a’foot at the Flinders Post Office. Three women united by a love of all things jewellery, design and handmade have set up a jewellery store and workshop in the perfect space for a bougie salon. Here they will provide the service of heirloom repairs, custom makes, valuations and classes.
The girls have over 100 years of jewellery experience between them. Kym and Ange have a 10yr strong local business JUMP Jewellery and they’ve welcomed a partner, found new headquarters and launched a big sister brand JMP Jewellery. Newcomer Bronwyn has moved to the area and has a background in diamond grading, valuations, assessments and custom makes. She has a 25 year history of working for high end city manufacturers. More recently Bronny’s been running Leskes, a highly successful jewellery store in Port Fairy. A new local partner, childhood friends and a hankering for self employment has led her to The Peninsula and all it has to offer.
Kym started her career as an apprentice in the 80’s and has never lost the love of making. Ange studied Gold and Smithing Fine Art at Monash and loves the creative process, hand making and cuttlefish casting.
The girls feel very fortunate to have secured such a beautiful space for their workshop and retail store. They hope to broaden their existing local friendships and immerse themselves in the local community who thus far have been most welcoming.
They look forward to sharing a champagne with you on their opening day Sat 15th July from 10am onwards.
