The Flinders Community Art Show Committee advise that the Art Show has had to be postponed. The Mornington Peninsula Shire Council has let the Committee know that the Flinders Civic Hall will not be ready for the Art Show due to ‘project completion delays’. The Committee is bitterly disappointed, but the completion of the wonderful Flinders Hall is totally out of their control and leaves them, again, without a venue.
So many plans will now be rearranged but the facility will be magnificent, and they believe the new Flinders Hall is the best venue for the Art Show. They are negotiating with the Council team and hope that the Flinders Community Art Show can be held on Melbourne Cup Day weekend in November.
They will also be contacting all the wonderful sponsors and look forward to their continued support in November. All ticket holders and artists who have registered will receive a refund, as well as any donations which may have been made. The refund will be applied to the credit card on which the ticket was paid.
As soon as they have firm confirmation of the new date they will be in touch and artists will be able to re-register their artwork or join us for the opening night.
