The Flinders Community Association together with Save Flinders Pier have collaborated on the production of a short educational film showcasing the natural underwater beauty and function of our Historic Flinders Pier. Our Pier is the star of a short film entitled ‘Flinders Below’, produced by our own Lola Broomhall (local Physiotherapist, Pilates Instructor, and talented all-round free diver) and underwater photographer, Jack Breedon. Using snorkels and flippers follow Lola and her companion Jacinta Christos, on their post-dawn exploration into the world that lives in and around the piles of our Heritage Listed Pier and on the seabed beneath it. They find a world teeming with life, colour, and movement.
Thank you, Lola, Jacinta, and Jack for wanting to do your bit towards the saving and restoration of the historic Flinders Pier. Please feel free to share this post and the video with your friends.
Should you wish to make a contribution to fund the further development of our short film, please contact treasurer@flindersvillage.com.au.
