Flinders Pier Update – Summer 2023

• The Victorian Government has committed $1.53m to repairing Flinders Pier
• The Heritage Council of Victoria has added Flinders Pier and precinct to the State Heritage Register, ensuring its long-term preservation
• Parks Victoria has commenced the initial planning, design options and permit stages which will continue through the first half of 2023
• Construction works to begin late 2023
• Repairs to be completed in early 2024
  The announcement from Parks Victoria says it has commenced detailed planning and assessments to determine the best option for repair works; and to ensure compliance with heritage conditions and relevant legislation.
  Parks Victoria has committed to delivering “…. critical repair and safety works to ensure people can enjoy the entire pier, while also ensuring works comply with the recent heritage registration.”
