On Thursday 8 March, 36 women from Flinders and the surrounding area joined together to conduct the inaugural International Women’s Day walk. The group met at the Merricks General store for coffee before undertaking a comfortably paced ramble to Red Hill, where they enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the Red Hill Epicurian; before returning back to the Merricks General Store. This year’s global theme for International Women’s Day is #PressforProgress. A similar walk is proposed for 2019.
