Flinders Motoring Heritage Car Show a finalist in the Australia Day 2020 Community Event of the Year awards!
The Flinders District Lions Club was very pleased that their Flinders Motoring Heritage Car Show, held at Easter, was a finalist in the Australia Day 2020 Community Event of the Year awards.
While they didn’t win (this time!) they were pleased and proud to congratulate The Red Hill Show as the winners. Flinders District and Red Hill Lions are associated with the Red Hill show, in that they assist with the parking of cars of the approximately 11,000 visitors.
The Show is run by the Red Hill Horticultural Society which was formed in 1896 and is focused on social sustainability and community and provides an opportunity for community groups to fundraise and/or promote their organisations. We particularly congratulate Rob Connor as a fellow Lion who manages the band of Lions volunteers to control the parking not only at the Red Hill show but each month at the Red Hill Market. Why not visit the next show on 7 March and see for yourself what a wonderful even this is to visit?
