Full Environmental Effects Statement Ordered For The AGL Gas Terminal In Western Port Bay

On Tuesday 9 October Victorian Planning Minister Richard Wynne announced that AGL’s massive 300 metre long gas terminal and 60 metre long pipeline will be subject to a full Environmental Effects Statement. The review process typically takes nine to twelve months.

The Statement should reveal the impact of the project on the environmentally sensitive waters of Western Port Bay, including wetlands, farmland, and rare marine and bird life.
